Chip On Board (COB) lighting leverages hundreds of LED chips directly on the board, covered in a continuous phosphor gel, producing a smooth beam of light and reducing “dots” or “hotspots”. This method also allows for a broader 180° beam angle, much wider than the 120 ° beam angle of the SMD LED strip options.

This type of lighting is perfect for accentuating architectural details, providing passive directional cues through corridors, and supporting decorative and creative installations.

LEDSA’s range of COB LED strips can be used in a variety of installation environments, with options for standard indoor IP20 and outdoor IP65. Almost the entire range comes standard with 3M 300LSE adhesive backing, ideal for mounting into aluminium extruders or other installation mediums for recessed lighting.

LEDSA's COB LED strips are all 24V, ideal for longer commercial installations, with 5 metre reels available off the shelf. Options for longer runs up to 20 metres are available for order; however, customers may experience short waiting periods. Alternatively, LEDSA stocks two-pin quick connectors for users looking to complete longer runs with shorter increments.
